Sow bugs are found primarily in areas with high humidity, such as under rocks, logs and leaf litter. An infestation indoors means that the moisture levels in the home are high. To help prevent sow bug infestation, make sure attics and crawl spaces are well ventilated. Remove leaf litter and other organic debris from the exterior of your home and be sure to seal any visible cracks. Keep planters away from windows and keep mulch less than 2 inches thick.
